Yorik
The skull was carved from a single piece of oak. Originally it was just a skull until many months later, a friend from the carving club mention the phrase from William Shakespeare. There was lots of spare wood to make the transition to a scroll, carve the quill and separately turn the ink pot. Pyrography was used to add highlights to the face and complete thelettering. Since then it has been well admired.
