Thumper
Thumper was one of those pictures you see on the internet and know you’re going to carve him. He was just a fun thing and didn’t take much time to do. I tried not to paint him and use stains instead, but the colour finishes him off nicely. I loved the Disney and MGM cartoons of the 70’s, so this is my homage to those times and the characters portrayed. Thumper is carved on a piece of ancient, dry Mahogany which needed soaking before I carved it and painted with stain and enamel paints.
