Mrs Imp
I was commissioned to carve 2 figures of imps out of oak, this is the second and meant to be the wife of the first. I was ask to give her a stern stare and keep her in a similar position to her hubby. I believe that the look was right , but it wasn’t my best piece.
It was carve out of French oak and finished with beeswax. she was meant be hold a cloth in her hands, but this has been lost. the wood was particularly hard and unforgiving.
