Live long, and Prosper
Like most people my age, I was brought up on a diet of Star Trek and all the possibilities the space race would bring. The strange guy with the pointy ears became a favourite of mine that has lasted into modern times. I have followed all version of Star Trek series and films over the years. Equally sad, but true, I have forced my right hand to be able to do the above sign without thinking.
In homage to my hero, Spock, I have carved his right hand in oak and placed in on the Federation symbol in mahogany and juniper. I plan to add a caricature of him to my collection at some point, but its a question of can I get the ears just right(on equal sides of his head?). The piece is finished in beeswax.
